国内首部聚焦以赛事视角展现越野赛车手群体现状的纪录片。自1985年京港拉力赛拉开帷幕，中国赛车运动已走过33年发展历程。当下，中国已然成为世界汽车大国，汽车运动爱好者数量达数千万之多，然而汽车运动文化的普及程度却差强人意，与大众存在明显隔阂。 在赛车运动领域，越野赛车凭借其与天地博弈、无畏艰难险阻的独特魅力，令人心生憧憬，却也让人有所顾虑。 不过，有这样一群越野赛车人，怀揣着最初的梦想与热爱，毅然决然地在这条充满坎坷的赛车之路上奋勇前行，只愿能多坚持一刻便是一刻。他们感慨道，“当发车的红灯闪烁时，内心会涌起一种难以言喻的激动”，“即便有机会重新选择，或许会有遗憾，但依旧会坚定地踏上这条路”……《这条路》通过对数十位中国现役顶级越野赛车手和资深赛车媒体人的深入采访与拍摄，全方位呈现他们赛场内外的人生故事、感悟以及成败得失，聆听他们每一次为速度而疯狂跳动的心声。

1945年日军投降前，螺湾河镇。故事一开始，一个被装进麻袋扔到街上的日本军人尸体，一时间街上一片混乱。日军开始了投降前最后的疯狂，四处搜寻杀害日军的凶手。被杀害的日本军人实际上是被小队长中川隼人杀害嫁祸给竹木街商户，被杀的日本军人是一名随军记者，刚进入螺湾河镇的时候他拍下来了中川隼人犯罪的照片，中川隼人害怕受降仪式后自己的罪行被批露，中川隼人将随军记者杀害嫁祸竹木街商户，以搜寻凶手的名义实则寻找丢失的照片。1945年9月20日，侵华日军第115师团在螺湾河镇商会礼堂正式向中国军队投降。受降仪式结束后，中方命令等待遣返的日军士兵参与修缮在战时遭破坏且年久失修的竹木街，以此进行劳动改造。
